The survey is now closed. Thank you to all those who took a few minutes to complete it.

The results will be now be reviewed and our findings will be presented at the upcoming Softball Canada meetings.

You may or may not have heard about the very unfortunate accident that happened in British Columbia this summer where a batter/baserunner was struck in the head by a thrown ball and subsequently died a few days later in the hospital.  For more information, please click here.

The Board of Directors of Softball Canada has now put forth two Motions for consideration at their Annual Meetings. If passed, the following Rules will be adopted for the Canadian Championships, starting next season.

The Rules read as follows:

1. Approved facemasks and head protection must be worn by all pitchers.

2. Approved helmets must be worn by all offensive players to include, batter, runner, and on-deck batter.

Should these Motions pass at the Softball Canada meetings, SPO will be required to address these matters at our upcoming Annual General Meeting, and develop criteria for our Programs.

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated in order that Ontario can be represented accordingly at the Softball Canada meetings. Please take a few minutes to complete a short survey by clicking on the link below.

Thank you, in advance, for your participation in this survey.

Yours in slo-pitch,
