Provincial Championship Guidelines

Entry Fee

The entry fee for the SPO Worth™ Provincial Championships is $495 (plus HST) and is payable by credit card, e-transfer to (Password: 2018ENTRY), certified cheque or money order. No uncertified cheques will be accepted for this Event and payment must be received by the Office prior to the Entry Deadlines. All participating Teams must be fully registered and insured Members of SPO.

Starting Times

All teams MUST be prepared to start their first game on the Friday of their weekend of play at 2:00 p.m. First game starting times will be available on by the Tuesday morning prior to your weekend of play. Team Contact and Players should be at the Complex at least 45 minutes prior to their first game to register. Players cannot participate until they have registered. Teams must be prepared to play and games may start up to 30 minutes prior to the scheduled game times.
Due to the overwhelming number of Late Game Start Requests that have been received the last couple of years, we regret that we no longer extend this courtesy. We did our best to accommodate all teams but it was never intended to (nor could it be) guaranteed and, unfortunately, it was being misused by many.  Extenuating circumstances may still be considered and you may email the SPO office with your request.

All divisions will compete for exclusive Slo-Pitch Ontario Provincial Championship Awards and USSSA World Series berths. Travel expenses will also be awarded at the SPO Worth Provincial Championships in all divisions.

The Tournament will be played in the London/Dorchester area, except for the Coed divisions, which will be played in Brampton.

Tournament Format

The double elimination with 3-scheduled games guaranteed format will be used in all divisions of play with seven (7) teams or more.
