As CEO of Slo-Pitch Ontario, a Member Association of Softball Ontario and Softball Canada, I have been engaged in numerous conference calls, webinars and video conferences daily with representatives from our sport, various Ministers, and corporate partners in our combined effort to monitor the seemingly constantly changing COVID-19 outbreak situation and to keep apprised of new developments.
At this time, we will be continuing our suspension of services for all SPO events and related activities until April 19, 2020. Accordingly, there is no insurance coverage available through this time period.
We will continue to provide updates to you every 5-7 days, as they become available.
Our online registration system remains open 24/7, and our Staff also remain available to assist with registration of leagues, teams and players. They are continuing to work remotely so that when the green light is given, we will be ready.
The health, safety and well-being of all of our Members, Staff and Volunteers, and their loved ones, remains a top priority for our Association.
Stay safe. Right now, let's practice physical distancing, instead of batting or fielding!
Slo-pitch will be better than ever when it's back, when it's safe.
